Estimates only — please verify before you buy

BuildCalc provides free calculators that estimate how much of a building or landscaping material you may need. All results are approximate estimates for general guidance only.

Real-world quantities depend on factors our calculators cannot know — including material density and moisture, compaction, site conditions, waste, the exact product and bag size your supplier stocks, and how the material is installed. Densities and coverage rates used here are typical industry values and are shown with their ranges on each page.

Before purchasing or starting work, always confirm quantities with your material supplier or a qualified professional. Where appropriate, order a sensible overage. You are solely responsible for the quantities you purchase and for the results of your project.

No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. We work to keep our formulas correct and well-sourced, but we do not warrant that every result is error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuildCalc and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service or its estimates — including over- or under-purchasing of materials, project costs, or delays.

Intellectual property

The BuildCalc name, site design, text, and calculator implementations are the property of BuildCalc and are protected by applicable laws. You may use the calculators for your personal or professional projects, but you may not copy, scrape, or republish substantial portions of the Service without permission.

The Service may contain advertising and links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, products, or practices of those third parties. Your use of any third-party service is subject to that party’s own terms and policies.
