Find how many blocked squares fit your target blanket, including extra join width and a border on each side. See the actual finished size before you make the full stack.
Craft measurements depend on your yarn, tools, stitch pattern, and tension. For a square blanket, block one sample first and measure it before adding a join. A pair of joined samples will show whether your chosen seam adds width.
The planner works with whole squares and reports any gap between the target and actual size. Its color counts tell you how many squares to make in each design; yarn quantities still need a sample in your actual materials.
